Ingibjörg M. Stefánsdóttir (Maja) has served as the Honorary Consul of Iceland in Colorado since September of 2016.
Born and raised in NE Iceland, she has lived in Colorado for 50 years, 48 of those in Morrison. Maja attended Metropolitan State University for 4 years and for the last 30 years has owned and operated an insurance agency, specializing in home and auto products.
Maja has been involved with the Town of Morrison, serving on both the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment. She has also been the organizer of Morrison CiderFest for the last 15 years. Maja raised her daughter, Sóley, to speak her language; Icelandic.
Maja enjoys the company of her grandchildren, reading, cooking, hiking and skiing.
