John Zakhem was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Lebanon to Colorado in 2024. He is a partner in the Denver law firm Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray, LLC, where he specializes in political and government affairs, commercial disputes, real estate and construction. John is widely known for his skill in risk mitigation and crisis management. John Zakhem’s deep experience as both a litigator and transactional attorney provide a powerful combination for his clients. John has been relied upon by scores of political figures at the national, state and local levels for his wisdom and legal counsel.
John is a Colorado native and has been involved in politics his entire life. Living in the Arabian Gulf during high school where his family were diplomats, John cultivated a strong sense of public service that led him to attend Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service and the University of Denver Sturm School of Law, in order to develop the skills necessary to represent clients in a broad range of legal matters.
John skillfully handles all manner of disputes on behalf of business owners, non-profits and political organizations in regulatory, commercial and governmental affairs throughout the Rocky Mountains, focusing on solutions, outcomes, and client bottom-line.
John’s favorite word is “team,” so he spends his free time coaching youth sports, skiing, snow boarding, fly fishing and golfing. John is also active in a number of charities and non-profits supporting the needs of victims of domestic violence.
