Frank is the Honorary Consul for the Kingdom of Netherlands in Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming.
He graduated from Leiden University (Netherlands) with an ML in Business Law & Intellectual Property and has an MBA from the Simon School, Rochester, New York and the Erasmus University of Rotterdam
Frank landed in the US (Colorado Springs) in 1994. He had consecutive executive positions in LA, Boston, New York, Dallas, Silicon Valley (2x), and finally made it back home to Colorado Springs. His career focused on semiconductors, AI and healthcare.
In 2007 he started at dpiX as the interim-CEO and turnaround-manager of the dpiX Flat Panel Semiconductor business in Palo Alto, California. He acquired the former VLSI semiconductor Fab in Colorado Springs and turned this facility into the largest A-Si Semiconductor Fab outside of Asia. The company’s headquarters, and the Caris family, relocated in 2011 to Colorado Springs where Frank held the position of CEO, President, and Board Member.
He is currently a fractional CEO/Chairman/Board Member (UC Health-MHS (Chairman), KX (Chairman), RenuartCaris Group (Co-Founder/Co-Chairman), CS Philharmonic (Board-Member) and a member of both the Governors CHIPSACT Task Force and the Colorado 30 Group).
Past activities include Board Member of the Colorado Chamber of Commerce (CACI), Chairman of the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Association (CAMA), Board member of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of the FlexTech Alliance.
As the Chairman of KX (US) and the former Chairman of the Jason Foundation (Netherlands) he continues to follow international developments with a special interest in the transatlantic cooperation between Europe and the US.
