Julia Costin is co-founder of Cyber Qubits co-founder, where she brings her passion for education and tech to advocate cybersecurity awareness, empowering individuals in the digital landscape. Prior to Cyber Qubits, Julia has positions at the University of Colorado Springs as an Associate Director at the College of Business Partnerships, and as Associate Director of Corporate Apprenticeships of the Colorado Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program. Prior to that, she worked as Program Manager at the National Cybersecurity Center.
In her volunteer life, she is the Romania Chairwoman of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Sister Cities International (GFLSCI). Among her activities, she developed strategic initiatives to enhance the partnerships between Fort Lauderdale and cities around the world. In an effort to increase global cooperation on many levels she developed educational, cultural, and trade programs to promote cultural understanding and to stimulate economic development. She also promoted BorderlessBooks, whose mission is to promote English literacy among children from “Greater Fort Lauderdale Sister Cities”, with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk children. Their mission is to donate books and partner with K12 schools to promote childhood English as Second Language (ESL) literacy programs. She also led the “International Women Authors event to highlight the work of women authors in sister cities, share the reasons for their success and how other women can benefit from their experiences.
